Single-Room Occupancy Hotels in San Diego
This study was designed to measure change over time in the stock of San Diego SROs and to assess the benefits and drawbacks of relying on SROs to house tenants who are generally vulnerable to housing instability, including low income workers, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
Transportation-Housing Affordability Nexus
In collaboration with the University of California Institute of Transportation Studies, this research project examines public transit usage trends for affordable housing residents. An in-progress research paper investigates the socioeconomic factors behind perception of public transit for affordable housing residents.
Housing Precarity in San Diego County
Housing precarity refers to conditions or events which lead to heightened insecurity in a person’s housing status. Homelessness Hub has undertaken several projects on this topic.
