Single-Room Occupancy Hotels in San Diego
This study was designed to measure change over time in the stock of San Diego SROs and to assess the benefits and drawbacks of relying on SROs to house tenants who are generally vulnerable to housing instability, including low income workers, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
Humble Design
Humble Design creates human-centered home design intervention which involves providing free custom design and furnishing services to individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness. The intervention was evaluated in terms of client satisfaction and impacts on health, wellbeing, and housing outcomes.


Homelessness Service Ecosystem Evaluation
The Homelessness Hub at UC San Diego is conducting a comprehensive inventory and assessment of the service ecosystem in San Diego County, with a focus on the temporary shelter network.
HEAL Partnership
Homelessness Hub partners with San Diego's HEAL Network on a variety of projects and initiatives. Homeless-Experienced Advocacy and Leadership Network focuses on amplifying the voices and perspectives of individuals with lived experience of homelessness.


Transportation-Housing Affordability Nexus
In collaboration with the University of California Institute of Transportation Studies, this research project examines public transit usage trends for affordable housing residents. An in-progress research paper investigates the socioeconomic factors behind perception of public transit for affordable housing residents.
